Crowdtap: Old Navy Tee Sample and Share

This month I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate in a Crowdtap Sample and Share for Old Navy Tees! I received two coupons that allowed myself and a friend to each get two free tees from Old Navy. I was super excited about this sample and share because I love Old Navy tees and buy a few each year, so I loved the idea of getting two for free :)

Shopping Experience

My friend Katie and I went shopping at our local Old Navy earlier this month so we could pick out our free tees. First off, we were really happy with the selection that our store had to offer. The tables were neatly displayed and there were a lot of fun colors and even stripes to choose from. We were also pleasantly surprised that the perfect henleys were included in the freebies as well! We checked out all the tees and decided which ones we wanted based on our needs and likes.

Our Selections

After much debate and exchanging colors once, (I originally bought the gray and white stripe vintage v-neck tee, but later changed my mind) I chose the navy and white stripe vintage v-neck tee and the navy perfect henley tee, pictured below. I am obsessed with blue clothing and accessories so of course I couldn't resist adding two more blue items to my wardrobe. These tees fit really well and I love the stripes and added detail to the perfect henley tee!

Katie chose the green and white stripe and the purple and white stripe vintage v-neck tees, pictured below. She wanted to go with fun colors for spring and she also really liked the stripes as well!

We both went home and took separate pictures of us wearing our new tees! Katie looks super cute in her new bright colors and stripes and I'm rocking the look of the season - navy and white! You cannot believe how much navy blue and white I've seen in stores lately :) Don't you just love how different our pictures are!? I had to do some close-ups because my other shots were not so great.

Not only did we love our free tees, but we also bought a few of the other t-shirts they had to offer! I put together a little collage of the additional items I bought.

All in all, this was a wonderful sample and share! I have always loved Old Navy's tees, so of course I was super satisfied with my free items. I would definitely recommend purchasing some of Old Navy's tees to spruce up your summer wardrobe!

**Thanks to CrowdTap and the Old Navy Style Council, my friend and I were able to each take two Old Navy tees home for free.  All opinions are mine alone based off of my shopping experience and the tees I reviewed.

Blog Makeover and Shopping Highlights

The blog got a makeover! I wanted to mix things up, so I updated the layout on here. I decided to go with a minty green/blue and gray since those are two of my favorite color combinations right now. I still need to make a few tweaks here and there, but so far I'm liking the fresh new look!

I also went shopping today! Old Navy had some really great markdowns and since I also had to return some things to Target, I couldn't resist checking out their markdown section too. Sensing a trend? Yeah, I really love markdowns! Here's what I got.

Old Navy Style Council - Dress Sample and Share

I am very lucky to be a part of the Old Navy Style Council on Crowdtap! I am also very lucky to have had the opportunity to participate in the Old Navy Style Council dress Sample and Share. Thanks for picking me Old Navy! What does this mean, you ask? Well, I was picked to try on and sample an Old Navy dress for free! Yes, I said free :)! I was also allowed to distribute one of the coupons to my friend, Katie! We both were able to try on many different Old Navy dresses and pick one to keep for free! How great is that?

I was indeed very excited about this opportunity and tried on many different styles of dresses at my local Old Navy. They had shift dresses, sweater dresses, classic dresses, etc. Long sleeve, short sleeve, and tank to choose from as well. So many choices! I tried on 3 different styles - pictured below.

The first one was a cute sweater dress with a cowl neck. I liked it, but thought it was a bit too long and showed off too much of my trouble spot, which is my stomach. The second one I tried on was the 3/4 sleeve flared dress. I liked the fit but thought it looked too long on my frame. I'm only 5'4", so that usually happens. The third dress I tried on was the shift crepe dress. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but figured I'd give it a shot. Once I put it on, I immediately loved the pattern, (not pictured above, but pictured below) and the fit! It was very flattering and kind of retro, which I liked. They had it in many patterns and solids too! I've decided to pair it with a belt and tights :) Here is a picture of me with it on...sorry about the poor photo quality.

My friend Katie also got to choose an Old Navy dress to sample! She and I have very similar tastes, so we tried on a few of the same dresses. She had already owned one of the flared dresses (same pattern as the one I pictured at the top of the post), so she decided to try on a bunch of the sweater dresses. She really liked the style of them, and decided to go with the black and gray striped one, pictured below. I think it looks great!

All in all, we were very pleased with the variety and style Old Navy had to offer! We had a great time trying on different styles and were very appreciative that Old Navy gave us the opportunity to participate in this fun event!

If you'd like a chance to possibly be a part in the Old Navy Style Council and get to do other fun things, join Crowdtap today! Believe me, you won't regret it :)

Discounts, Bargains, and More

I am definitely the type of person that will only buy items when they are on sale. That is one of the reasons why I love working in retail. Not only do I get a pretty decent discount, but I also get to know when all the good markdowns happen. This week we had some pretty good ones. Most of our really nice shoes got marked down to 12 or less! I scored the pair below for $11.

I also got a few cheap finds at JCPenney, Wet Seal, and Kohl's on Thursday. At JCPenney I bought a nice baby doll tank to go under some of my favorite cardigans for only $2. I also found some nice shirts for $5 and $8. At Wet Seal, I took advantage of their buy one piece of clearance, get the second for a penny deal. I got a nice short sleeve sweater for $13 and a brown, braided belt for a penny. I also got a nice blue and gray striped sweater for $12.50. At Kohl's I scored two pairs of Georgia Bulldog Flip Flops for my boyfriend and my brother in law for only $4! I couldn't believe it. They were marked down from their original price of $22 and I had an automatic 10 dollar off coupon. These are going to make great Christmas presents, hehe.

Things I'm Loving

I'm definitely loving that it's pretty much time for College and NFL Football to be back! I used to never really be a huge sports fan, but the past few years I've really gotten into a lot of them. I watch NBA, Golf, NFL, and NCAA Football. At Old Navy, where I work, we have a whole section for NCAA and NFL football merchandise. I just bought an Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldawgs t-shirt today. Even though I've lived in Georgia my whole entire life, these are the first sports shirts I've actually owned :) The shirt pictured below is one of the ones we sell at Old Navy - here. It's not the one I bought, but it's pretty close.

Things I'm Loving

I'm definitely loving the plethora of peasant tops I've been seeing lately. We even have some at Old Navy, where I work, that I definitely want to purchase when they go on sale. So far I've only purchased maybe 3 peasant style tops from Sears, Kohls, and Old Navy. Below are a few of my favorites from a few of my favorite stores.

Floral & Medallion Smocked Peasant Top @ Kohls

I scored this peasant top at Kohls for only $7.99! It was on sale at my local store for $17.99 and I had $10 Kohl's Cash that I put toward it. I love Kohl's for their great coupons and incentives.

Heart & Soul Embroidered Peasant Top @ Kohls

While browsing the Kohl's website, I came across this beauty. I love the simplicity and details all wrapped up in one shirt. Definitely wish they would have had this one on sale at my local store.

Gauze Mexicali Top @ Old Navy

I have to definitely give a shout out to this Old Navy peasant top. It was the first one I saw that made me love this style all over again. When it came in at my store, I fell in love...but unfortunately it still hasn't went on sale. Even though I get a discount, I want it to be a bit cheaper before I buy it. I'm really loving the unique colored stitching and the sweet colored flowers at the top.

Siesta Peasant Top @ Forever 21

This peasant top has the most stitching detail of them all. I love how there is a bit of color and detail on every part of this top. The detail on the front is not only gorgeous but very authentic looking.
