What Is Influenster
Influenster is a free-to-join community of invited trendsetters who live to give opinions of products and experiences. Influenster creates links between brands and members to reward participation and influence future products.
So...what exactly is Influenster? So glad you asked. Here’s a handy definition that would make Merriam-Webster proud:
Influenster [in-floo-uhn-ster]
noun
An exclusive online community where tastemakers and trendsetters (such as yourself) come to share the latest and greatest news, places, products, and reviews with each other. 2. The hotspot you just bookmarked on your web browser that turns your social influence into sweet rewards.
Basically, Influenster is a place for culture junkies to come together and share their unique opinions of products and experiences. Active members of Influenster get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that thrive off the input (the good, the bad, and the ugly -- they just want to know what's up).

Below are the reviews for each product. I enjoyed testing out each and all of them and was really satisfied with my Sweetheart VoxBox.
Olay Fresh Effects Powered Cleansing System and Shine Minimizing Cleanser
($12.99 for System & $6.99 for full size Cleanser)
Pictured above is the whole set, which comes with the facial cleansing brush (1 AAA battery was included, which is needed to power the brush) and 1 sample size of cleanser.
At first when I got everything out of the box and looked at it, I thought to myself, "This doesn't look like it'd work, but I'll give it a shot." To be honest, it reminded me of a giant powered toothbrush, lol. I decided to use it the first night I had it. The directions say to splash your face and the cleansing brush with a little water, squeeze the cleanser on the bristles, turn the brush on and apply it to your face in gentle circles. After about a minute, rinse your face and the brush with cool water. I did exactly what it said and afterward I was really surprised with how matte and smooth my face was! It felt so baby soft. I decided to use it a couple more times and it seems to hold up very well. It even says you can use it in the shower as long as you don't submerge it in water. All in all, I'm so glad I got to try out this product. This is definitely something I would have never thought to purchase, so I'm happy with the experience to try it!
Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Antiperspirant/Deodorant
($7.99 - $9.99)
First off, just let me mention that I really like the Secret brand and have been using it over the years and have been satisfied over 95% of the time. I actually already tried a different variation of the Secret Clinical Strength last year when I bought some Secret Antiperspirant/Deodorant in a bundle deal at Target. The kind I tried was the Secret Clinical Strength Sport in the scent "marathon fresh", but I hated it for one reason and one reason only - the smell! It smells a little like a man's deodorant and for some reason it would give me a headache every time I wore it, which led to me only using it once or twice. So, I was really relieved when I noticed that this was the Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response and it came in the scent "serene citrus".
Let me just say "Wow!". I was pleasantly surprised at how GREAT this deodorant smells! The scent is right up my alley because it's a sweet, fresh, fruity scent. It almost smells like candy, it's so sweet to the nose. I was blown away at how much I liked the smell and instantly wished I could turn it into a perfume as well lol. I've worn it a few times since I received it and see that it works well. It goes on in a mix between a solid and a gel and doesn't take too long to dry. It also doesn't leave white streaks, which is a wonderful plus. All in all, this is my favorite product out of the box and I'm extremely satisfied.
Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bars
($9.99 per box of 5 bars)
Next up is the Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bars. I received the Greek Yogurt Blueberry Crisp version sized 1.6 oz. It says that they are 180 calories per bar, natural, kosher, and high in fiber. I found this pretty awesome, I also noticed that it has Vitamin E in it which is interesting.
I actually just finished eating the bar while writing up this post. I was pleasantly surprised at how it really does taste blueberry-ish. If you'd ever had Brookside Dark Chocolate with Blueberries, it taste very similar....but then again that is one of the few blueberry treats that I can think of to compare it to. I liked the flavor and the consistency was good. It wasn't too chewy or too hard and it wasn't bland at all. It had a pretty good taste to it. I would definitely recommend it for those that like bars and the taste of blueberry.
Not Your Mother's She's a Tease Volumizing Hair Spray
($6.00 for full size)
And last, but not least, is the Not Your Mother's She's a Tease Volumizing Hair Spray. Now in this box, Influensters would receive one of the two Not Your Mother's products. As you can see, I got the volumizing version, but they also had the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. Most of the reviews I've seen of the box have had the same one I've had, so I don't know much about the Beach Babe version. It does sound interesting though.
But anyway, I received the 2 oz. version of this hair spray to try. It says that it is infused with Apple Blossom & Bamboo and creates volume and lift with a firm, non-crunchy hold. I gave it a try and was really impressed with the power of the spray. I've used some hair sprays in the past that seemed so weak and you had to spray a lot to feel like it worked. This, however, came out really fast and had a great overall spray range, if that makes sense lol. The smell is okay, it's fruity but in a strong hairspray sort of way. I'm not a huge fan of hair spray that smell like this, so this is probably my only dislike about the product. It seems like it kept my hair in place and I love that it was not crunchy at all, as was guaranteed. I also did the tip where it says to lift hair and spray for bigger hair, and I could tell a difference for sure. All in all, this is a pretty great product.
That completes my reviews of the items I received in the Influenseter Sweetheart VoxBox 2013! For my first box, I was impressed with the quality of the items and I'm really excited for more boxes in the future. Be sure to check Influester out!
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
