Things I'm Loving - Snack Addition

I haven't done a "Things I'm Loving" post in a really long time, so I thought I'd bring it back to life with this quick "Things I'm Loving - Snack Addition" post!

Snack Factory's Garlic Parmesan Pretzel Crisps

I saw these at my local grocery store this week and thought I'd give them a try. I'm glad I did because they are really good! They have a great taste and aren't quite as salty as normal pretzels are. I like that they are flat as well, so you can add toppings if you'd like. I think they'd be great at a party! They come in other great flavors as well.

Chobani Greek Yogurt

When I first tried Greek Yogurt, I tried the plain kind and was not impressed at all. I thought it tasted too bitter. So, when I saw that they had Greek Yogurt with fruit on the bottom, I thought I'd give it a try again. I really like it! The fruit gives it that extra bit of sweet that helps mellow out the bitter taste. I'm really liking strawberry, apple cinnamon, and blueberry from Chobani. I'm also really impressed that it is made with all natural ingredients, unlike one of it's competitors, Yoplait.

Nature Valley's Strawberry and Vanilla Yogurt Bars

I'm a big granola/breakfast bar fan, so I've had quite a few varieties from Nature Valley and other brands. I mostly get the kinds that have fruit, nuts, or chocolate in them, but I was getting bored, so I went looking for another variety to try. That's when I came across Nature Valley's chewy yogurt bars in strawberry and vanilla. Oh my goodness, let's just say I'm glad I got the 12 pack because they are delicious! I love how they are sweet and kind of taste like rice crispy treats. Definitely one of my favorites for sure :)

That is all for now! If you'd like to share one of your favorite snacks, leave a comment! I'd love to hear about and try new ones :)

Things I'm Loving Friday

I'm definitely loving DIY Glitter projects this week! I always love a good craft project and lately glitter has been on my mind. I've seen a few people doing things with glitter, so I decided to go to Michael's and buy 3 jars of glitter - silver, red, and multicolor and get to work :)

First I covered some paper pears in glitter.

Then I decided to cover some bottle caps in glitter and hopefully loop them together into a strand for decoration. They kind of look like tiny peppermint patty wrappers lol.

Then I did some picture frames.

I'm definitely loving how they all turned out and I'm in the process of finishing things up by sealing the glitter so that it doesn't shed on everything. I definitely have a big glitter mess to clean up just from the creations :)

Things I'm Loving

I'm definitely loving True Blood this week!

I recently bought books 1 - 10 of the Sookie Stackhouse set, which the HBO series is based on. I had planned to just read the books, but I stumbled across a way to watch the past 4 seasons of the HBO series and started watching before I started reading. I made it all the way through season 1 and decided I should look into the first book before moving on to watch season 2.

As I was reading, I realized that it was really close to what I had watched, except it was lacking a few characters and was not as detailed about Jason's sex life, ha. However, the main theme was exactly the same and even some of the stuff was word for word. Now, I don't know about you, but when it comes to me, I can't watch something and then read it. I have a hard time concentrating on something when I already know what happens. I only have this issue with reading, not watching.

So I've decided to stop watching True Blood at the end of Season 1 and read all 10 of the Sookie Stackhouse books first. That way, I can enjoy the books and then get to see where the HBO series takes it afterward. If there is any overlapping or similarities, it won't ruin the books for me because I will have already read them. I think the reason why it bugged me so much is because it's still so fresh in my mind not to ignore how close they were. Here's to hoping this works!

Things I'm Loving

I'm definitely loving vintage movie posters this week. I've always had a thing for vintage stuff, and movie posters is just one of the things that tops that list. If you look back to my Art Walk-Through, you can see my Alfred Hitchcock movie 'Vertigo' poster. I also have a Audrey Hepburn 'Funny Face' poster.

My boyfriend recently said I could hang whatever I want on the huge wall we have in the living room. Right now we have giant canvases of a friend's work, but they are not hanging properly and seem to darken and cheapen our space a lot. So, I decided to buy six 11x17 picture frames and purchase some vintage movie posters to place there! I haven't received the picture frames yet, but here is a look at the posters I bought. I tried to stay in the Alfred Hitchcock Theme :)

Rear Window, To Catch a Thief, North by Northwest, Dial "M" for Murder, The Man That Knew Too Much, and Rope.

The only movie out of the set that I haven't watched is Rope, but I do love James "Jimmy" Stewart. Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant are two of my faves.

Things I'm Loving

I'm definitely loving the plethora of peasant tops I've been seeing lately. We even have some at Old Navy, where I work, that I definitely want to purchase when they go on sale. So far I've only purchased maybe 3 peasant style tops from Sears, Kohls, and Old Navy. Below are a few of my favorites from a few of my favorite stores.

Floral & Medallion Smocked Peasant Top @ Kohls

I scored this peasant top at Kohls for only $7.99! It was on sale at my local store for $17.99 and I had $10 Kohl's Cash that I put toward it. I love Kohl's for their great coupons and incentives.

Heart & Soul Embroidered Peasant Top @ Kohls

While browsing the Kohl's website, I came across this beauty. I love the simplicity and details all wrapped up in one shirt. Definitely wish they would have had this one on sale at my local store.

Gauze Mexicali Top @ Old Navy

I have to definitely give a shout out to this Old Navy peasant top. It was the first one I saw that made me love this style all over again. When it came in at my store, I fell in love...but unfortunately it still hasn't went on sale. Even though I get a discount, I want it to be a bit cheaper before I buy it. I'm really loving the unique colored stitching and the sweet colored flowers at the top.

Siesta Peasant Top @ Forever 21

This peasant top has the most stitching detail of them all. I love how there is a bit of color and detail on every part of this top. The detail on the front is not only gorgeous but very authentic looking.
