Blog Makeover and Shopping Highlights

The blog got a makeover! I wanted to mix things up, so I updated the layout on here. I decided to go with a minty green/blue and gray since those are two of my favorite color combinations right now. I still need to make a few tweaks here and there, but so far I'm liking the fresh new look!

I also went shopping today! Old Navy had some really great markdowns and since I also had to return some things to Target, I couldn't resist checking out their markdown section too. Sensing a trend? Yeah, I really love markdowns! Here's what I got.

Shop at Home

I just recently joined the website shopathome.com. It gives you a list of tons of sites (many you probably already shop with) and lets you know the percentage of cash back you can receive by shopping through the site! They also show you current coupons you can use for online and in store purchases. I've shopped with walmart, target, endless.com, wet seal, and many others and have earned cash back! It's worth checking out :)

Decorating Time!

The other day I was in Target and came across some of these blank notebooks, folders, and book covers with cute designs on them. They were meant to be used with sharpie markers. I thought the designs were cool, so I couldn't resist buying a 3 pack...mostly because they were only a little over a dollar.

The other day I started thinking about how I wanted to put something in the clear area on the front of my school binders and I remembered the cute designs I bought. I cut them down to size and inserted them into the front and really liked it! Today I decided to start working on the first design and make it colorful. I think it looks really cool and will continue to color in the other designs for the front and back of the binders. Here is a shot of the finished flower design and the unfinished circle and squares design. I will hopefully get everything colored and completed soon :)
